Contribute Articles to Outdoors.ca

Outdoors.ca is one of the most popular sites. Publishing an article on outdoors.ca exposes you to a global audience much passionate about Canadian outdoor activities.

Outdoors.ca pays money for every article it publishes. So, if your article is accepted for publication on outdoors.ca, we will pay you for it. All articles will be accompanied by a full bio, which can contain links to your web site - providing valuable traffic and backlinks.

We're always interested in fresh content that's relevant to Canadian outdoor activities. If you have an idea for such an article, then please keep reading.

Submission requirements:

Your article/story must be based on a real life Canadian outdoors related event or experience that has happened either to you or one of your loved ones.

We demand real, interesting and original information, clearly explained. We seek current and timely information.

Your article must be at least 1000 words long.

Please note excellent English and grammar are absolutely necessary. We want to be able to publish your article on our site immediately without the need of having it edited.

The article must be the original work of the author, and give full credit for anything quoted from other sources.

It must not contain links or references to the authors own businesses or to that of his/your clients. Do not include affiliate links in your article.

Once we receive your submission, Outdoors.ca will review it and get back to you within 14 days. If we haven't contacted you within 14 days, you can assume that we are not interested in the article. If you decide within that 14 day timeframe that you no longer wish to publish your article with Outdoors.ca, simply email

to let us know.

Copyright Transfer Agreement & the payment:

If your article is accepted for publication on the site, we'll pay you for it. Articles that are accepted for publication will attract a minimum remuneration of $20 CDN, which will be paid via PayPal (default) or by check (if requested).

In exchange for payment, we request that you give Outdoors.ca unlimited, exclusive rights to the article and any accompanying images. We will have full rights to edit your article if we think it is necessary. Any other reproductions of the article, in any form, in part or whole, even in any other language, must be approved by Outdoors.ca in writing before the reproduction is published.

Upon the acceptance of your article, we'll email you a Copyright Transfer Agreement that specifies these terms, which you must sign and return to us before we are able to publish your work.

Outdoors.ca is unable to publish content over which it does not hold unlimited, exclusive rights.

How to submit your work:

Please submit your article to

in Microsoft Word or plain text format; it must not be in HTML format.

You could also include the author's bio of no more than 50 words (including link to your site) and an author headshot picture.

You are encouraged to include images associated with your article, as long as you do own the copyright to these pictures (and are willing to transfer that copyright to us). The images should be submitted as separate .jpg files. Depending on the size and dimensions of your pictures, we might decide to resize and or crop your pictures, or not to display them at all.
